Biography
Adaobi Nwabuo, MBBS, MPH is the Injury Prevention Coordinator for the San Francisco Wraparound Project. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and received her Master’s of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Adaobi has worked as a physician in underserved communities in Nigeria. Through the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, she has conducted research assessing substance use and driving safety among adolescents. She has worked with the Baltimore City Department of Health to qualitatively assess retailers’ perspectives on sale of tobacco to minors. Adaobi’s clinical and research interests are in the provision of sustainable and culturally acceptable healthcare services, particularly mental healthcare.
