Supporting Our Mission
Supporting Our Mission
The UCSF Department of Surgery is one of the leading centers in the country and world. It has a rich history of clinical advancements, educational excellence, and scientific innovations. Philanthropy places a crucial role in fueling our state-of-the-art care, training of the next generation of leaders and practitioners in the field, and our promising research that lead to the development of new treatments. With your help, we can continue to deliver on our mission, and provide patients and their loved ones with renewed hope and improved outcomes.
There are many ways to contribute and donations of all sizes are appreciated. You can give online, by mail, or wire transfer; via a donor-advised fund; or make a gift of stocks, mutual funds, or other securities. You can designate your gift to any department faculty member, program, or research – or even in honor of a family member or friend.
If providing support in perpetuity is of interest, there are different types of endowment opportunities at UCSF and the minimum amounts needed to fund them – a general endowment begins at $100,000, a fellowship or lectureship starts at $200,000, and a research fund or professorship commences at $1 million. By establishing endowments – of varying size and for any purpose – donors help ensure UCSF’s future and impact. Thank you for the enthusiasm.
