Biography
Kathleen Balizan, ACNP was the first graduate of the UCSF Surgical and Critical Care NP Fellowship program. There she gained experience in critical care, liver transplant, kidney transplant, neurosurgery, interventional radiology and vascular surgery. She graduated from UCSF with an MSN, AG-ACNP in June 2014. Prior to her career as a NP, Kathleen worked as an RN in San Jose, CA and has experience in telemetry and ICU. Kathleen's professional interests include critical care and transplant surgery.
Upon graduation from the program, Balizan joined the UCSF Medical Center Kidney Transplant Service.
