Patient preferences around extent of surgery in low-risk thyroid cancer: A discrete-choice experiment

A research team including Julie Ann Sosa, MD, MA, FACS, Chair of the UCSF Department of Surgery, have published a paper in the journal Thyroid about patient preferences pertaining to surgical options for thyroid cancer. Specifically, the study identifies patient preferences for ascertaining risks and benefits associated with lobectomy vs. total thyroidectomy for low-risk thyroid cancer.
