Tammy Chang Recipient of Five-Year Research Career Development Award from American College of Surgeons
Tammy T. Chang, M.D., Ph.D. has received a five-year career development award from the American College of Surgeons (ACS). The George H. A. Clowes, Jr., MD, FACS, Memorial Research Career Development Award is offered through the The Clowes Fund, Inc., of Indianapolis, IN to provide support for the research of promising young surgical investigators.
Dr. Chang is Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of General Surgery. She has a strong commitment to translating advances in laboratory research into clinical applications that benefit patients. Her research includes 3D hepatocyte culture systems with a long-term goal of tissue engineering a basic liver unit for therapeutic implantation.
